Who we are and what we do

Katrin has been managing her family’s dairy farm for more than 15 years. She has helped to grow the farm and transform the operations. The business is much more than a source of income. It is a huge part of her family life.

Katrin has always worked with her bank to finance the farm and ensure smooth cash flow, but ran into difficulties in 2010 when her bank manager doubled her cost of credit overnight.
The frustration of running from one bank to another to secure offers inspired Funding Xchange. Katrin is passionate about making it easy, quick and transparent for businesses to find finance.
It probably helped that Katrin had a parallel career advising large banks and financial firms and understood that they often were not the right answer for a small business that needed funding. So, Funding Xchange sets out to get business owners in the position where they can easily compare terms available from many providers, increasing the chances that one of the offers is going to be right for the business.

Ultimately, Katrin wants Funding Xchange to give you control over finding finance that’s right for you and your plans for your business. Quickly and easily. So that you can continue to build your business and life.

Matt Collinge is the CTO here at Funding Xchange Technologies. He has over 20 years experience leading technology teams mainly in the Financial Services and FinTech arena. Matt has spent the last 8 years running Technology and Product at London based FinTechs, in the B2C Payments space at Curve and B2B FinOps at Sequence. Previously he was disrupting the Car and Home Insurance market at ComparetheMarket.com where he built the technology to aggregate 25M insurance quotes a day.

Time outside FXE is largely spent ferrying two teenagers to Hockey matches around the Midlands and having recently taken up the sport playing in the local league.

Sarah does the sums at Funding Xchange Technologies! Sarah is a seasoned CFO with a focus on growth transformation having delivered growth and transformation agendas across a range of clients as an advisor, investor and more latterly an executive. Having taken the business from Series A through Series B, Sarah is heavily involved in our commercial strategy supporting our vision of building long term, sustainable and ethical value for our business. Sarah combines her role at Funding Xchange with raising Max and Phoebe and when she does get a rare moment to herself, loves playing netball, padel and golf.

Lauren is the COO here at Funding Xchange Technologies. With a career built at the intersection of technology, operations, and client success across financial services, healthcare, and life sciences, Lauren plays a key role in shaping FXE’s delivery and growth strategy – keeping innovation and measurable outcomes at the heart of what we do. At FXE, she oversees operational excellence and plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless client delivery – driving efficiency, and fostering collaboration. With a background in biomedical engineering and life sciences, Lauren brings a distinctive perspective on how technology can deliver meaningful, real-world impact.

When not driving things forward at FXE, Lauren loves exploring new places and travelling back to Australia to visit family and friends.

Sam leads the Customer Success team at Funding Xchange Technologies, supporting banks and lenders as they transform how SMEs access finance. With a background at NatWest and Esme Loans, Sam brings deep experience in business lending and fintech innovation, helping clients get the most from FXE’s technology and data. Passionate about making funding simpler and smarter, Sam focuses on building strong relationships and turning complex processes into seamless solutions.

Outside of work, most of his time is devoted to his daughter and tackling a never ending list of DIY projects.

Martin is an Engineering Lead here at Funding Xchange Technologies. He has over 15 years of experience engineering software solutions across the telecoms, automotive and financial services sectors. Previously he led the migration of a high-volume investment bank transaction management system from an outdated database technology to a system capable of handling over 10 million financial transactions per day.

Martin resides in Scotland and is an avid ‘munro bagger’ when he’s not looking after his two young sons. He has completed 105, so only 177 to go!

Will is an Engineering Lead here at Funding Xchange Technologies. He has over 20 years of experience in software development, technical leadership and team management across fintech, government and insurance sectors. Before joining FXE, he spent seven years working for one of the leading providers of digital banking platforms, delivering Identity and Access Management solutions that met the complex security needs of banks worldwide. Will is highly customer-focused and passionate about building software that solves real problems.

Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and takes pride in keeping his lawns in top condition.
